Welcome to our FAQs!

We know planning an event can feel a bit overwhelming, so we’ve pulled together answers to some of the most common questions we get asked. If you don’t find what you’re looking for here, just get in touch – we’re always happy to chat and help you plan your perfect event.

Marquee Planning & Logistics

How far in advance should I book my marquee?

We recommend booking as soon as you have your date and venue secured, especially for peak season (May – September). Our diary fills up quickly, so the earlier the better to ensure you get the marquee and accessories you want. However, we love to deal with any request so don’t be afraid to challenge us with something short lead!

What size marquee will I need?

This is one of the most common questions we get! The size of your marquee depends on the number of guests you’ll have and the style of your event. We’ll work with you to understand your needs – whether it’s for a seated dinner, a standing reception, a dance floor, or all three – to figure out the perfect size. Our team can help you with a custom floor plan.

Can you set up a marquee on a slope or uneven ground?

Marquees don’t need a perfectly flat lawn or concrete slab. They’re designed to be versatile structures, so they can be safely installed on grass, gravel, decking, tarmac, or even uneven ground. We use specialist flooring systems and adjustable supports that level out slopes and create a stable, comfortable base for guests. This means you can host an event almost anywhere, take a look at our photos, we even have one on the side of a hill!

Where do you cover?

We are based in the midlands and cover events across the UK, even a few in Europe. The main counties we cover include Northamptonshire, Warwickshire, Oxfordshire, Buckinghamshire, Cambridgshire, Bedfordshire and Leicestershire.

What do people hire a marquee for?

Corporate: From slick conferences, exhibitions, and product launches to temporary offices and staff spaces.

Shows and Exhibitions: Perfect for covering car shows, agricultural displays, or any public event needing serious weatherproof cover.

Long Term or Commercial: Durable, fast to deploy structures for temporary warehousing, retail pop ups, or seasonal storage.

Basically… Everything: If you need a flexible, reliable, and seriously cool space, a marquee is the answer.

Marquee Features & What’s Included

What kind of marquees do you offer?

We offer a range of modern, stylish clear span marquees. Clear span marquees don’t have any internal poles or ropes, which gives you maximum usable space and a clean, contemporary aesthetic. They can be set up in various widths, lengths and configurations either as a single large open space or divided into different sections. We can also offer bespoke additions such as star shades, pagodas or our unique hex end.

What about flooring and lighting etc?

All of our marquee hires include the essentials. We offer various flooring options from matting to solid cassette flooring. Our lighting options include fairly lights, chandeliers, contemporary uplighters and much much more besides. We also work with production companies who help with full rigging sets for those larger events.

Can you heat a marquee?

A marquee isn’t just for summer. With modern heating and cooling options, you can create a comfortable environment whatever the season. In colder months, thermostatically controlled heaters keep the space warm and cosy, while in the height of summer, fans, air conditioning, or clever ventilation systems help maintain a cool, fresh atmosphere.

Are the marquees waterproof and secure?

Absolutely. Our marquees are built to withstand the unpredictable British weather. They are made from high-quality, durable materials that are fully waterproof. The structures are securely anchored to the ground to ensure they can handle wind and rain.

The core details

How long does it take to set up and take down a marquee?

Set up and take down times vary depending on the size and complexity of the marquee and accessories. Typically, we set up a few days before your event and take down the day after. We always coordinate with you and your venue to find the most convenient times.

Do I need a site visit?

Yes, a site visit is an essential part of our process. It allows us to properly measure the space, check for any potential issues like underground pipes or power lines, and get a feel for the location. This ensures a smooth and stress-free installation on the day.

What is the payment process?

We require a deposit to secure your booking, with the final payment due a number of weeks before your event. We’ll provide you with a full breakdown of the payment schedule when you book with us.
